Human Occupied (HO) & Hybrid Submersibles

International Submarine Engineering Ltd. (ISE) has accumulated a great deal of experience in the area of human occupied (HO) and hybrid submersibles over our 40+ years of experience. Earlier projects include; WRANGLER, a Canadian Forces HO or remotely controlled underwater vehicle; ODYSSEY 1 and 2, thirty-six passenger and two crew tourist submarines; West Edmonton Mall submarines 1, 2, 3 and 4 that were operated as an amusement park ride; and SDL-1, a 700 meters rated HO submersible with diver lockout capability whose refit was awarded to ISE on 3 occasions through an open bid process.

More recent projects include the Submarine Rescue Diving and Recompression System (SRDRS) for the US Navy. ISE leveraged our significant engineering expertise in providing the propulsion system, control systems, consoles, and control van in completion of the SRDRS hybrid submersible. ISE also designed and manufactured an eight-passenger and two crew luxury submarine with an operational depth rating of 365 meters, this submarine is ABS certified.
