Ventana is a HYSUB 40/1850 built in 1987 and operated as an Oceanographic Research ROV. As of June 27 2005, this ROV has successfully completed 2700 dives for over 16,000 hours of wet-time for Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI) Ventana supports research programs across a broad range of science discipline’s in both the pelagic and benthic environments. Ventana is undeniably the most active scientific ROV operation in the world.
